Babysitter Rates

On-call Babysitting

At Summit Nannies, our rates consist of a reservation fee and an hourly rate. We charge a 4% credit card processing fee for each booking.

We take pride in offering quality care while supporting our babysitters. It's important to note that submitting a babysitting request incurs no financial obligation. You will only be charged at the end of your booking. Please be aware that a cancellation fee is in place, and you can find more details here. Payment of the agency fee and sitter fee is done through the app. You will pay the fees through the app or online booking system.

Additional Fees

Explore Summit Nannies' additional fees to determine their relevance to your booking(s). Not all situations may incur these charges.

Last Minute Booking Fee: We have a $30.00 fee for jobs booked within 24 hours of their booking start date.

Parking Fee: You are responsible for any parking fees your sitter may incur, and a $5 valet tip if applicable. We respectfully request that you pay parking fees directly to your sitter.

Two Infants Fee: At Summit Nannies, we are committed to ensuring fair compensation for our sitters. In cases where you require care for two infants simultaneously, there will be an additional charge of $4 per hour for the sitter's services. This additional charge will be paid directly to your sitter.

Sick Child Fee: At Summit Nannies, we provide specialized sitters to care for sick children. If your child is unwell and requires special attention, please select the "Sick Child" option when booking and provide specific details in the notes section. Please be aware that a $50 sick fee will be added to the sitter's payment to compensate for their extra care and attention.

Cancelation Fee: You may cancel your reservation up to 24 hours in advance with no charges applied. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, a four-hour minimum of the agency fee and sitter fee will be charged. Unfortunately, there can be no exceptions to this policy. All cancellations and changes to reservations must be done through Summit Nannies and Sitters and not the individual sitter.

Non-Member Terms & Conditions

Last updated: November 21st, 2023

We at Summit Nannies understand that plans change, and we strive to make it easy for our clients to make reservations with us while still maintaining a fair policy for our sitters.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your reservation up to 24 hours in advance with no charges applied.

Hourly Minimum

A 4-hour minimum is required each day for each job booked. If you do not use the full 4 hours, you will still be charged for 4 hours or the duration of the job, whichever is greater. All jobs booked will be charged for the hours requested. If you need to make any changes to your return time, changes must be made 1 day in advance. For example, if you book 6 hours but return after 4 hours, you will still be charged for the 6 hours you booked.

Schedule Changes

Please call your sitter as soon as possible if you realize you will not return at your scheduled shift ending time. Sitters may have transportation dependencies or another commitment. Please don't return late without checking with your sitter first. If your sitter advises you that they have a "hard stop" at a certain time, please respect that.

Sitter Fees

These fees will be collected directly by your sitter via Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, Cash, or another preferred method of payment at the conclusion of the reservation.

Sitter Responsibilities

Babysitters are highly skilled childcare providers who are happy to tidy up any mess created during playtime or mealtime by the children under their care. However, it is important to note that general household cleaning, laundry, and other related tasks are better suited for your lodging's domestic staff or specific housekeeping personnel.

Sick Child Policy

At Summit Nannies, we provide specialized sitters to care for sick children. If your child is unwell and requires special attention, please select the "Sick Child" option when booking and provide specific details in the notes section. Please be aware that a $50 sick fee will be added to the sitter's payment to compensate for their extra care and attention.

It's crucial to inform both the agency and the sitter if your child is sick. Failure to do so may result in sitter removal and fees. Summit Nannies retains the right to remove a sitter if a child falls ill at any time. If a sitter arrives and discovers a child or others with undisclosed illnesses, they may choose to end the appointment at their discretion. In such cases, the client will be charged the applicable 4-hour billing minimum, including both the agency fee and sitter fee, with no replacement for the sitter.

Sitter Cancelation

In the rare event that a sitter becomes unavailable due to illness or any other unavoidable complication, we will promptly notify you of the cancellation. We will make every effort to find a substitute sitter for your appointment. However, if a substitute sitter is not available, we will refund all charges.

Inclement Weather Policy

Inclement weather can pose a major risk for our sitters to drive to your location. If bad weather impedes a sitter from getting to a babysitting job, Summit Nannies and Sitters reserves the right to cancel your reservation for that day. We will always do our best to get the sitter there but safety is our main concern and large snow storms may cause major delays, rescheduling, and/or cancellations.

Holiday Rates

During designated holidays, our regular sitter rates, will undergo a slight adjustment. Holiday rates will be calculated at the normal hourly sitter rate plus time and a half. For example, if your sitter's standard rate is $28 per hour, their holiday rate will be $42 per hour. This is an additional $14 per hour during holiday periods. There are no additional agency fees for holiday rates. Holiday rates will be in effect on the following holidays: Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Thank you for entrusting Summit Nannies and Sitters with your child's care.
